Strategy Tips

Raikou appears alongside allies Ampharos and Electrode. They are all weak against Ground-type attacks.
Ampharos can raise its Speed, Electrode can raise the Speed of all your opponents, and both use powerful Moves, so try to prioritize attacking Ampharos and Electrode or use moves that attack all opponents at once.

In addition, Raikou (from HP Bar 2 onward), and Ampharos and Electrode (always) possess Passive Skills that increase the damage of their Moves and Sync Move when their Speed is raised.
Try to reduce the damage your allies take by lowering your opponent’s Speed.

Raikou uses field effects such as Physical Damage Reduction, Special Damage Reduction, and rainy weather to give itself an advantage in battle.
Additionally, these effects will be permanent unless removed by the player.
Deal with field effects your opponent applies by landing critical hits or by causing a sandstorm.

HP Bar 1

• Raikou will gain the Special Damage Reduction effect, so try hitting with physical attack moves!
• Use Cynthia & Garchomp’s Earthquake to attack all of your opponents at once!

• Raikou will gain the Physical Damage Reduction effect, so use Piers & Obstagoon’s Dire Hit All + and Courtney & Camerupt’s Delete... to raise your critical-hit rate.
• Your opponent will raise their Speed with Passive Skills, so use Courtney & Camerupt’s Bulldoze to lower it!

HP Bar 3

• Raikou will make the weather rainy at certain times, so use Bertha & Hippowdon’s Passive Skill and Sandstorm to cause a sandstorm instead!
• You can raise your critical-hit rate with Hop & Zamazenta’s Hop to It! and Bertha & Hippowdon’s Quite Something!
• Your opponent will raise their Speed with Passive Skills, so use Clay & Seismitoad’s Bulldoze to lower it!
