Strategy Tips

The following special parameters will be applied in the battle against Registeel.

• The opponent’s field effects are permanent unless removed by the player.
• Stat changes to Defense and Sp. Def have a greater effect on damage output for both allies and opponents.

Due to the first special parameter, field effects that your opponent has activated once during battle remain in effect until removed by Moves such as Brick Break or Defog.
Registeel takes advantage of this special parameter to use permanent field effects such as Physical Damage Reduction and Special Damage Reduction, reducing damage at all times.
Combat this by landing critical hits and using Brick Break to remove field effects.

Also, due to the other special parameter, even more damage will be received when Defense & Sp. Def are lowered, and even less damage will be received when these stats are raised.
Registeel takes advantage of this special parameter to raise its Defense and Sp. Def with Moves and Passive Skills.
In addition, Registeel takes even less damage from Moves and Sync Moves when its Defense or Sp. Def is raised.
Try lowering your opponent’s Defense and Sp. Def before attacking.

• You can raise your critical-hit rate with Bruno & Machamp’s Dire Hit +!
• Registeel will raise its Defense with Iron Defense and Passive Skills, so use Marshal & Conkeldurr’s Rock Smash or Sonia & Yamper’s Defense Crush 9 Passive Skill to lower it!
• Your opponent will lower your Defense with their 1st Time Half HP: Team Defense ↓ 2 Passive Skill, so use Sonia & Yamper’s Ruff Buff! to raise the Defense of all allied Sync Pairs.

• You can raise your critical-hit rate with Maylene & Medicham’s Gloves Off! or Bea & Sirfetch’d’s Sharp Entry 2 Passive Skill!
• Registeel will raise its Defense and Sp. Def with Iron Defense and Passive Skills, so use Hilda (Summer 2022) & Grapploct’s Topsy-Turvy to flip its stat boosts into stat reductions!
• Your opponent will lower your Sp. Def with its 1st Time Half HP: Team Sp. Def ↓ 2 Passive Skill, so use Hilda (Summer 2022) & Grapploct’s Get Gutsy! to raise the Sp. Def of all allied Sync Pairs.
