A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 63)

Greetings, Trainers.

We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of June and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

App Update for Late June

The Damage Challenge Is Coming!

Starting June 27, 2024, our new battle feature, the Damage Challenge, will be available!
In the Damage Challenge, you try to deal as much damage to the opponent as possible within the allotted time to get score rewards based on the amount of damage you dealt.
This is a permanent feature that can be played at any time, but the battle content will be updated periodically, and the opponent’s weakness type will change depending on the battle.
Also, only supereffective attacks will deal damage in this feature, so be sure to use a team that can exploit the opponent’s weakness.
The difficulty of these battles is balanced to allow you to fight with little concern for your opponent’s attacks. That means you’ll want to focus solely on building a team that can inflict damage and choosing your actions in battle wisely to get a high score.
However, since the number of opponents—one or three—varies each battle, your effective strategy will also differ depending on whether you use moves that attack a single opponent or all opponents.
You can get Training Tickets as rewards and exchange them for special Sync Pairs, so we hope you take on this challenge!
Furthermore, the limited-time Ranked Damage Event will begin in late July.
The basic rules of this event are the same as the Damage Challenge, but you’ll earn a score across the event’s three battles.
It will include battles with special rules, such as “Reduces the damage allies deal with Sync Moves and Max Moves”, so you can expect a different experience compared to the Damage Challenge.
In both the Damage Challenge and Ranked Damage Event, your best score will determine your ranking among other competing players, and you’ll also earn Titles from the Ranked Damage Event based on your ranking, so try to aim for the top!

A New Guest Arrives in the Trainer Lodge

Starting June 30, 2024, you’ll be able to invite Kabu as a Guest to the Trainer Lodge!
You can invite Kabu by teaming up with Kabu & Centiskorch from the ongoing Kabu Poké Fair Scout.
The Kabu Poké Fair Scout runs until July 10, 2024 at 9:59 p.m.
Also, new story content titled Adventures to Unknown Worlds will be added to the Mysterious Stones Chapter on June 30, 2024!
You’ll need to have collected a total of 800 Mysterious Stones to unlock this story’s area.
As always, Steven is enjoying hunting for rocks, but his partner Metagross is not very enthusiastic.
Suddenly, the legendary explorer Brandon appears before them!
We hope you enjoy the story!
Note: You can get Mysterious Stones from the Daily Region Rotation and other places, and you also have a rare chance to receive them when completing some battles in the Training Area.

Story Event Exciting Treasure Hunt Is Coming

Story Event Exciting Treasure Hunt starts on June 27, 2024!
Lear hosts a treasure-hunt event!
Gardenia, eager to get her hands on the treasure, finds a suspicious cave. What could await inside?
And what is the “generous reward” that will be given to the winners of the event?
We hope you look forward to finding out!

Gardenia (Summer 2024) & Dhelmise

Gardenia (Summer 2024) & Dhelmise are a Ghost-type Field Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Support.
One of their Passive Skills can lower all opponents’ Sp. Def by two stat ranks when they use their Metal Sound Move, and another Passive Skill of theirs can create a Steel Zone the first time they use that move each battle.
They can also create a Ghost Zone with their Trainer move and Buddy Move, so you can make use of either zone depending on the situation!
On top of that, each time they create a zone, another Passive Skill of theirs increases the Special Moves ↑ Next effect of all allies by one rank and randomly raises one of the following stats of all allies by two stat ranks: Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness.
Also, their Summer Hues Shadow Ball Buddy Move attacks all opponents, lowers their Attack and Sp. Atk by one stat rank, and has a 20% chance of lowering their Sp. Def by one stat rank, making Gardenia (Summer 2024) & Dhelmise quite the versatile Sync Pair.

Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent

Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent are a Ghost-type Support Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Tech.
Their Shoreline Ominous Wind Buddy Move can be used twice, and raises all allies’ Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed by two stat ranks!
Also, when they get hit by an attack move, their Touch at Your Own Peril Passive Skill can lower the Attack and Sp. Atk of the opponent that attacked them by two stat ranks.
Their Recover Move restores their HP by approximately 50% of their maximum HP, and when they use that move, one of their Passive Skills will apply the Gradual Healing effect to all allies. Another Passive Skill of theirs restores all allies’ HP when Acerola (Summer 2024) & Jellicent’s attack move is successful, and their Trainer move can raise their own Water Type Rebuff and Ghost Type Rebuff by up to two ranks, making them a Sync Pair that excels in providing durability.
Story Event Twin Stars Far Apart featuring Tate and Liza in dazzling outfits will return on July 2, 2024, and a Super Spotlight Seasonal Scout is planned as well.
We hope you look forward to them!

Other Events

Photo Frame and Background Missions will also begin for a limited time on June 27, 2024.
By using the Photo Creator, you’ll be able to get a special Frame and Background, so don’t miss these missions!

Also scheduled are a High Score Event where the recommended types are Ghost and Dark, the return of Solo Event With Beauty and Grace, and the addition of Ultimate Battle Noland’s Plucky Punches, so we hope you enjoy them!

Future Updates

The Mysterious Stones Chapter, which has been getting updates since last October, is reaching its climax.
We hope you look forward to seeing what will become of the Sync Stones Ultimate and the Trainers involved with them.
In addition, we’re planning a new event where you can earn rewards based on how many event-exclusive items you’ve obtained. We’re also making usability updates, including adding a tab that lets you easily tell if an event is a returning or a new one, and adjustments to the Main Story’s PML Arc.
