A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 67)

Greetings, Trainers.

I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, general producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of October and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

App Update for Late October

Superawakening Feature Added

As was hinted at in our previous message, Superawakening has been added as a new method for strengthening Sync Pairs.
Superawakening is a special upgrade that is only available for certain Sync Pairs.
After raising a Sync Pair’s move level to 5, you can raise their Superawakening level up to five ranks.
We’ve laid out more details in the recent “About Superawakening” announcement, so please take a look at it.
Please note that Sync Pairs with Superawakening will arrive starting October 30, 2024.

New 5★ Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs with Superawakening added are scheduled to arrive starting October 30, 2024, and 5★ Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs that are already in the game are scheduled to receive Superawakening in three installments: on October 30, 2024, November 30, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

To raise a Sync Pair’s Superawakening level, you’ll need tomes and codices of that Sync Pair’s type, as well as a Custom Superawakening Candy.
You can get a Custom Superawakening Candy by going to the Superawakening screen from the Upgrades menu and exchanging items such as a Superawakening Candy, 5★ Move Candy, 5★ Custom Move Candy for the corresponding Sync Pair, or 5★ Move Candy for that Sync Pair’s Role.

To coincide with the addition of Superawakening, Cynthia, Steven, and Lance will each appear in a Tiered Scout + Custom Move Candy beginning on October 30, 2024.
At Tiers 1, 2, and 4, you can get one 5★ Custom Move Candy for the featured Sync Pair as a present, and you’ll receive two of them at Tier 5.
At Tier 3, you’ll be able to select one 5★ Sync Pair of your choice (including the featured one) after scouting, so we hope you’ll check it out.

In addition, starting October 30, 2024, presents will be added to Scouts for new Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs based on how many times you use the Sync Pair Scout ×11.
In these Scouts, the fifth and tenth presents will be one Superawakening Candy each. The first, second, third, and fourth presents will be one Move Candy Coin for the featured Sync Pair’s Role, and the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth presents will be two of those Move Candy Coins, so we hope you give it a look.

A New Guest Arrives in the Trainer Lodge

Starting October 31, 2024, you’ll be able to invite Shauna as a Guest to the Trainer Lodge!
To invite Shauna, you’ll need to team up with Shauna & Chesnaught first.
You can team up with Shauna & Chesnaught via various Sync Pair Scouts, so be sure to invite her once you’ve teamed up with this Sync Pair.

Special Poses Added

You can use fun special poses after teaming up with a Sync Pair. You won’t be able to rotate a Trainer or change their expression with these poses, but we hope you try snapping some photos with them.
Some Secret Titles will also be newly added, so we hope you try to discover how to acquire them.

Story Event Sygna Siblings—All Aboard

Story Event Sygna Siblings—All Aboard will begin on October 30, 2024!
As they strive for greater heights, Ingo and Emmet decide to hold a tag battle tournament.
Ingo thought they would be teaming up as brothers, but Emmet suggests that they battle with different partners instead.
We hope you look forward to it!

Sygna Suit Ingo & Chandelure

Sygna Suit Ingo & Chandelure are a Ghost-type Sprint Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Tech!

They can leave the target burned or confused with their Will-O-Wisp and Confuse Ray Moves. They primarily attack with their Rising Flames Hex Buddy Move, which can be activated when there is at least one opponent that is affected by a status condition, flinching, confused, or trapped.
Their Rising Flames Hex Buddy Move has various additional effects that can activate based on the status conditions and status changes the target is affected by.
Also, they can reduce their Sync Move countdown with their The Train Is Leaving! Trainer Move, as well as with one of their Passive Skills, which activates when they successfully use a Max Move against a target that is affected by a status condition.
Additionally, when their move is successful, they can increase all allies’ Special Moves ↑ Next effect by one rank.

Sygna Suit Emmet & Eelektross

Sygna Suit Emmet & Eelektross are an Electric-type Field Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Tech!

When successfully attacking with their Thunder Fang Move, they have a chance to make the target flinch, and a Passive Skill of theirs can also leave the opponent paralyzed and trapped. They primarily attack with their Descending Lightning Wild Charge Buddy Move, which can be activated when there is at least one opponent that is affected by a status condition, flinching, confused, or trapped.
Their Descending Lightning Wild Charge Buddy Move has various additional effects that can activate based on the status conditions and status changes the target is affected by.
Also, their Aim for Victory! Trainer Move can increase an ally’s Sync Move ↑ Next effect by five ranks. Another one of their Passive Skills activates when they successfully use a Max Move against a target that is affected by a status condition and can apply the Free Move Next effect to all allies.
In addition, this Sync Pair can apply Unova Circle (Defensive) and create Electric Terrain.

Plus, you’ll be able to select Special Pose 2 when taking photos of Sygna Suit Ingo or Sygna Suit Emmet with the Photo Creator.
Special Pose 2 will be added for Ingo and Emmet at the same time as well.
Like with other special poses, you won’t be able to rotate them or change their expression, but this is their trademark pose, so we hope you’ll take a photo with them.
Please note that Special Pose 2 is not available for Ingo (Special Costume) or Emmet (Special Costume).

Extreme Battle Event Pasio Subway Is Coming

Extreme Battle Event Pasio Subway will begin on October 31, 2024!
You can get rewards such as Co-op Sync Orbs and Move Candy Coins by completing each battle, and you’ll receive Certificates of Excellence by completing Missions!
One battle will be added every four days, making a total of seven challenging battles for you to take on in this event.
Plus, you’ll get a special Title for Sygna Suit Ingo by completing the battle that will be added on November 24, 2024, as well as a special Title for Sygna Suit Emmet by completing all of the Missions, so we hope you’ll take them on!

Other Events

Early to mid-November will see the return of Story Event All Aboard the Victory Train starring Ingo and Emmet, a High Score Event where the recommended types are Fighting and Steel, and the addition of a new Ultimate Battle.
There will also be an event celebrating Eevee Day in late November, so we hope you look forward to it!

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for late November. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for December.

We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.

We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
