A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 74)

Greetings, Trainers.

I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, general producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of March and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

New Event! Academy Event Pasio Academy Opening Is Coming!

Academy Event Pasio Academy Opening will begin on March 30, 2025 at 11:00 p.m.!
As we mentioned in our previous message, Academy Events are events in which you can train an Academy Sync Pair while spending time at Pasio Academy.
In this message, we’ll give you an overview of some of Academy Events’ features.

Many Trainers attend Pasio Academy as students and teachers, and you’ll train your Academy Sync Pair during your limited time at Pasio Academy.
By completing events and battles, you can obtain various kinds of exclusive Sync Orbs to unlock exclusive Sync Grid tiles.
There will also be a midterm and a final exam, as well as Trainer interactions, via which you could earn exclusive Sync Orbs.
These events occur randomly, and the kind and total amount of exclusive Sync Orbs you can obtain varies with each attempt, so you can make multiple attempts and try shaping your Sync Pairs to your liking.

Next, we’ll tell you about the new Sync Pairs arriving in the Scout to accompany the Academy Event.
Lacey & Granbull and Rei (Academy) & Braviary are making their debut. Lacey & Granbull can turn the field of play into an EX Zone.
EX Zones have more powerful effects than the regular zones that have been available up to now, and they cannot be overwritten by regular zones. (For example, an EX Fairy Zone cannot be changed to a Normal Zone.)
However, if an EX Zone is active and you activate a regular zone of the same kind, you’ll extend the EX Zone’s duration (except in certain circumstances).
Moving forward, you’ll still be able to use regular zones as well!
Please note that Sync Pairs that can create EX Zones are also planned to arrive in the future.

Also, when you have these Sync Pairs on your team in an Academy Event, you’ll receive a bonus, allowing you to get more exclusive Sync Orbs.

Lacey & Granbull

Lacey & Granbull are a Fairy-type Field Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Sprint!
By using their Share the Cuteness! Trainer Move to apply the Move Gauge Acceleration effect, they will be able to use their Love Dazzling Gleam Buddy Move.
Love Dazzling Gleam lowers one of the target’s following stats by one stat rank at random (granting this effect six times): Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness. It also creates an EX Fairy Zone and increases the Special Moves ↑ Next effect of all allies by one rank.
Plus, when their attack move is successful while the zone is either an EX Fairy Zone or a Fairy Zone, one of their Passive Skills can lower one of the target’s following stats by one stat rank at random (granting this effect two times): Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness. Try using Dazzling Gleam to lower all opponents’ stats!
Also, while the Move Gauge Acceleration effect is applied, another Passive Skill of theirs protects all allies against critical hits and reduces damage when an ally is hit by an attack move or Sync Move, allowing this Sync Pair to support their entire team as well.
Because their Role is Field, raising them to 6★ EX makes it so that just before they use their Sync Move for the first time each battle, they create a Fairy Zone. If the zone at that time is an EX Fairy Zone, the EX Fairy Zone’s duration will be extended.

Starting March 31, 2025 at 11:00 p.m., by teaming up with Lacey & Granbull, you’ll be able to invite Lacey as a guest to the Trainer Lodge, so we hope you’ll enjoy interacting with her.

Rei (Academy) & Braviary

Rei (Academy) & Braviary are a Psychic-type Sprint Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field!
Their Gusty Mountains Esper Wing Buddy Move can be activated when their Sp. Atk is raised. Because one of their Passive Skills raises their Sp. Atk when they enter a battle, they’ll be able to use it right away.
Gusty Mountains Esper Wing never misses, and it hits all opponents. Also, successful hits with it become critical hits (except in certain circumstances), and it raises all allies’ Speed by two stat ranks. Plus, if the remaining MP for their Go Faster! Trainer Move is one or more when attacking with it, it increases all allies’ Special Moves ↑ Next effect by one rank!
Additionally, their Go Faster! Trainer Move applies the Supereffective ↑ Next and Free Move Next effects to themselves. The more their Speed is raised, the more it reduces their Sync Move countdown (by up to three maximum) and increases their Special Moves ↑ Next effect (up to three ranks maximum), so try using Gusty Mountains Esper Wing when their Speed has been raised.
When they have zero Trainer Move MP remaining and an attack move of theirs is successful, one Passive Skill of theirs applies the Free Move Next effect to themselves, and another increases their Special Moves ↑ Next effect by two ranks, so let loose with a boosted Gusty Mountains Esper Wing!

In addition, starting March 30, 2025 at 11:00 p.m., a 48-hour Gems special to celebrate the opening of Pasio Academy will become available, and the “Presents! Limit 1! 48-Hour Limited Paid-Gem Costume Scout ×25” will begin. This Scout includes a Field Roll Cake, which is needed to unlock Rei (Academy) & Braviary’s EX Role, so we hope you’ll check it out.
