A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 77)
Greetings, Trainers.
I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of June and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.
Story Event High-Flying Seaside Holiday will begin on June 29, 2025!
Dawn and Skyla are worried that Cynthia has been working nonstop, so they suggest going on a vacation to Lear’s private beach.
While Cynthia and Skyla enjoy the vacation in their cool outfits, a certain someone sees Cynthia, and the onlooker’s creativity is ignited!
By completing the finale of this Story Event, you’ll get special Artwork.
You’ll be able to see this Artwork in the story itself too, so have a look.
Cynthia (Summer 2025) & Milotic are a Water-type Support Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field!
Their Let’s Relax! Trainer Move raises all allies’ Defense and Sp. Def by four stat ranks and applies the Gradual Healing effect to all allies, but it also leaves Cynthia (Summer 2025) & Milotic burned.
However, one of their Passive Skills protects them from burn damage. Plus, when they’re affected by a status condition, it also increases their Defense and Sp. Def by 50%. And except in certain circumstances, it also removes all of their status conditions and fully restores their HP just before they faint the first time each battle. In all, it gives them several advantages with no drawbacks.
Also, their Peak Summer Muddy Water Buddy Move attacks all opponents, lowers the target’s accuracy by one stat rank, and raises one of the following stats of all allies by one stat rank at random: Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness. It can be activated when Cynthia (Summer 2025) & Milotic are affected by a status condition, such as burned.
In addition, another Passive Skill of theirs lets them create Sinnoh Circle (Defensive) the first time they enter a battle, and they can also create it by using their Sinnoh Solidarity Trainer Move.
On top of that, when they use Sinnoh Solidarity, another one of their Passive Skills will apply the Damage Guard Next and Take Next “All” Move effects to themselves, making them an incredibly resilient Sync Pair.
Skyla (Summer 2025) & Jumpluff are a Grass-type Sprint Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Strike!
One of their Passive Skills grants all of the following effects the first time their Pokémon uses a status move each battle: reduces their sync move countdown by two, raises their Sp. Atk by four stat ranks, and raises their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks. They can activate these effects when they use their Sunny Day move.
Plus, each time their Pokémon uses a status move, they’ll raise their Speed by six stat ranks and increase their Special Moves ↑ Next effect by two ranks.
Their Sunny Solar Beam Buddy Move can be activated when they use any move once. Normally, using this move prepares them to attack, and using it again would make them leave that posture before attacking. However, when the weather is sunny, this preparation period is skipped. Try to make good use of Sunny Day before attacking.
Additionally, Sunny Solar Beam never misses, and it lowers the target’s Sp. Def and Speed by two stat ranks. The more Skyla (Summer 2025) & Jumpluff’s Speed is raised, the more it increases their Special Moves ↑ Next effect (up to three ranks maximum), and it removes all of their Speed increases. For a high-powered attack, try using it in tandem with their To the Skies! Trainer Move, which reduces their sync move countdown by one, raises their Speed by two stat ranks, and increases their Special Moves ↑ Next effect by two ranks!
In early July, Gardenia and Acerola go treasure hunting once again when Story Event Exciting Treasure Hunt makes its return. Also scheduled is a High Score Event where the recommended types are Water and Psychic.
Plus, this High Score Event will have limited-time Trainer Gym Missions available at the same time.
There will be individual rewards based on your score, as well as additional rewards based on the total score of all gym members, so we hope you’ll work together to complete the Missions.
Starting June 30, 2025, you’ll be able to invite Leon to the Trainer Lodge as a Guest!
To invite Leon, you’ll need to team up with Leon & Charizard first.
Please note that as of June 30, 2025, Leon & Charizard are not being featured in a Sync Pair Scout, so we hope you look forward to when they return.
Also, please note that you cannot invite Leon to the Trainer Lodge by teaming up with Arc Suit Leon & Charizard.
In addition, once you update to the new app version, you’ll be able to use multiple Battle Rally Passes when taking on the Battle Rally.
The number of points you earn will be multiplied by the number of passes used, so try taking advantage of this feature when you’re short on time and have extra Battle Rally Passes.
(If you use two Battle Rally Passes, your points will be doubled, and if you use three, they’ll be tripled.)
Development is progressing smoothly for the Beginner’s Guide Missions and new permanent battle content we mentioned in a previous message.
Everything should be available to all players in about a month, so please wait a little longer.
Our next message is scheduled for late July. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for August.
We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
