A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 78)
Greetings, Trainers.
I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of July and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.
In a previous message, we mentioned that development was progressing smoothly for the Beginner’s Guide Missions and new permanent battle content. We are pleased to announce that these features are now available.
First, we’ll give you an overview of this content.
The Beginner’s Guide was added on July 27, 2025!
As we mentioned in our 76th message, the Beginner’s Guide is comprised of guide Missions aimed primarily at players just starting Pokémon Masters EX, as well as those returning after some time.
Please note that currently active players may also participate.
The game has been in service for over five years, and throughout that time we’ve added a variety of features and content, which has led to feedback that some players don’t know where to begin when they start playing.
If you make completing the Beginner’s Guide your first goal, you’ll be able to enjoy your adventures on Pasio while learning about the various features and content of Pokémon Masters EX.
By completing the Beginner’s Guide, you can obtain a Ticket that lets you team up with a Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair guaranteed, as well as a bunch of Gems, so we hope you’ll try to clear all of the Missions.
The Pasio Towers battle content was added on July 27, 2025!
There’s a tower for every type, and each has 30 floors. You’ll use Sync Pairs of the designated type as you proceed.
As we mentioned in our 76th message, the battles get more difficult as you climb up the floors, with the topmost floors being extremely difficult, so try to gradually make progress by teaming up with powerful Sync Pairs and upgrading your team with the new level cap described below. From certain floors onwards, special rules such as “Opponents won’t take damage from physical attacks” will come into play, so it will be important to decide whether you’ll use Physical Strike or Special Strike Sync Pairs, even if they’re the same type.
Note that there is a limit to the number of attempts you have for each floor. The number of attempts you have will recover over time.
There are also Weekly Rewards you can earn from this content.
You can get Weekly Rewards based on the total number of floors you’ve completed in the towers (you don’t have to complete the same floors again every week).
There are two types of Weekly Rewards: Fixed Rewards, which are the same every week, and Random Rewards, which change randomly every week. For both types of rewards, the amount you’ll receive increases depending on the total number of floors you complete, so it’s important to utilize Strike Sync Pairs, as mentioned above, to climb each tower.
There are also special stories called Tower Reward Stories in this content. You’ll need to unlock them using Story Unlock Keys, which can be obtained as Mission rewards.
You’ll need a Tower Pass to take on the Pasio Towers, and you’ll receive one when you visit the Pasio Towers for the first time. Try starting with the tower for the type you feel the most confident with.
Along with the addition of the Pasio Towers, we’ve raised the level cap for Sync Pairs to 200.
You’ll need Certificates of Excellence to unlock the level cap up to 180 and newly added Plaques of Perfection for levels beyond that. You can get both of these items as rewards from Pasio Towers.
Story Event From Kitakami—Prelude begins on July 28, 2025 at 11:00 p.m.!
Carmine makes her debut on Pasio!
Nemona, Arven, and Penny hear a familiar voice and rush to greet Carmine...
As the name suggests, this event is a prelude. The story will continue in another upcoming event, so stay tuned!
To go along with this event, Carmine & Sinistcha, a Sync Pair who can Sync Terastallize, will arrive!
Through the powerful bonds between Trainer and Pokémon, some Sync Pairs are able to draw out the maximum power of the Sync Stones and Sync Terastallize—the embodiment of the Terastal phenomenon on Pasio.
This allows Sync Pairs to Sync Terastallize the first time they enter battle, but the requirements may differ for some Sync Pairs.
Sync Pairs that have Sync Terastallized have something called Tera Blast.
There are two kinds of Tera Blasts: Moves and Sync Moves. Moves can be used at any time, but their number of uses and additional effects vary for each Sync Pair, so they can be used in a variety of ways depending on the situation in battle, such as for a high-powered attack or for their additional effects.
In addition, the power of moves that match the type of the Pokémon while it’s Sync Terastallized will be increased.
Carmine & Sinistcha are a Grass-type Support Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field.
Their Debut: Grass S-Tera Passive Skill Sync Terastallizes them into Grass type the first time they enter a battle.
While they are Sync Terastallized, the following effects of their Kitakami Hospitality Passive Skill can activate after your team’s Sync Pair uses their Sync Move: restores the HP of all allies by approximately 20% of their maximum HP, and increases the Physical Moves ↑ Next and Special Moves ↑ Next effects of all allies by one rank. With effects like these, Carmine & Sinistcha can support their team’s durability and offense.
In addition, Emerald Tera Blast creates Grassy Terrain the first time it’s successful each battle. It also increases all allies’ Physical Moves ↑ Next and Special Moves ↑ Next effects by two ranks, so Carmine & Sinistcha can boost all allies’ firepower as well.
Plus, Matcha Gotcha targets all opponents, and the more damage it deals to targets, the more it restores the user’s HP. They can also apply the Enduring effect to themselves with their Brace Yourselves! Trainer Move, making them a Sync Pair that excels in resilience!
An Academy Event is scheduled for early August.
Please stay tuned for details on which Academy Sync Pair will appear, as well as the Sync Pairs that will arrive in the Sync Pair Scout.
We also plan to distribute Stamina Tickets for this Academy Event.
These Stamina Tickets have an expiration date and will be automatically exchanged once the expiration date has passed, so be sure to use them before they expire.
We hope that this will help alleviate the Stamina shortage you may have experienced in past Academy Events and make the events more fun by letting you control when to use your Stamina based on your own playstyle.
Additionally, to celebrate the debut of Pasio Towers, the “One-Time-Only! Triple Feature Select Master Fair!” will also be available, so we hope you check it out. It lets you select one of the following Master Fair–exclusive Sync Pairs: Sygna Suit Ethan & Lugia, Sygna Suit Lyra & Celebi, or Sygna Suit Kris & Suicune.
Please note that this Sync Pair Scout can also be used with Non-paid Gems.
Starting July 31, 2025, you’ll be able to invite Lusamine to the Trainer Lodge as a Guest!
To invite Lusamine, you’ll need to team up with Lusamine & Pheromosa first.
You can team up with Lusamine & Pheromosa via various Sync Pair Scouts.
The Gym Scout C will begin on July 31, 2025!
You can team up with these new Sync Pairs: Fantina & Dusknoir, Roxie & Garbodor, and Lana & Cloyster!
You can obtain the Gym Scout Tickets C needed to use this Scout from the Gym Exchange starting July 31, 2025, so be sure to grab them!
Pokémon Masters EX is about to reach its sixth year since launch!
Since the five-year anniversary, we’ve released Trainer Gyms, introduced a new approach to lore and storytelling with Academy Events, and made new updates so that you can keep enjoying Pokémon Masters EX in a wide variety of ways.
It’s thanks to all of you that we’re able to welcome our six-year anniversary.
We’re incredibly grateful for your support.
We’ll continue to do our best to ensure that all Trainers can keep enjoying Pokémon Masters EX during the six-year anniversary and beyond, so we appreciate your continued support.
Our next message is scheduled for late August. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for September.
We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
