A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 80)

Greetings, Trainers.

I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of September and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

EX Fairs Debut!

A new Sync Pair Scout called the EX Fair is set to arrive.
In addition to the featured EX Fair–Exclusive Sync Pair, the EX Fair also features two Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs.
Just like with the EX Master Fair, the EX Fair lets you fortify your team’s power even more than before, making the game easier to enjoy.

In the EX Fair, the offering rate is 2% for the featured EX Fair–Exclusive Sync Pair and 1% for the two featured 5★ Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs. You can accumulate up to 400 Scout Points.
The Sync Pair Scout ×11 comes with presents up to the 12th time you use it, so be sure to check the details.
Also, the EX Fair–Exclusive Sync Pairs that appear in these Sync Pair Scouts have four Passive Skills right from the start, so we hope you’ll give them a look.

The EX Fairs for Arezu, Mai, and Perrin that we’ll show you today include Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs that are the same type as the main featured Sync Pair in each one, so you’ll be able to boost your team with a particular type by using the same Sync Pair Scout.

Story Event Perrin and the Diamond Clan Is Coming

Story Event Perrin and the Diamond Clan will begin on September 29, 2025!
Perrin comes to Pasio and requests an investigation from Florian, the paranormal studies club president.
Around that time, Adaman senses something strange, and while searching his surroundings, he comes across Mai and Arezu!

You can team up with Arezu, Mai, and Perrin—who appear in this event—via EX Fairs, mentioned above!

Arezu & Lilligant

Arezu & Lilligant are a Grass-type Sprint Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Strike.
Their Splendid Victory Dance Buddy Move can be activated when their team’s Sync Buff is zero. It raises their Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, and Speed by six stat ranks, boosting their offense and defense all at once.
Their Dance of Yellow Tones Passive Skill can apply the Physical Move Break effect to the target when a physical attack move of theirs against it is successful—or apply the Special Move Break effect to the target when a special attack move of theirs against it is successful—letting them boost the damage they deal.
Note that only one of these effects can activate once per battle.
On top of that, when a physical attack move of theirs is successful, their Dance of Green Tones Passive Skill lowers the target’s Defense by two stat ranks and increases Arezu & Lilligant’s Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by three ranks. When a special attack move of theirs is successful, this Passive Skill lowers the target’s Sp. Def by two stat ranks and increases Arezu & Lilligant’s Special Moves ↑ Next effect by three ranks, allowing them to lower the opponent’s stats while raising their own firepower.
Additionally, their Just Thought This Up! Trainer Move increases their Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by 10 ranks when their Physical Moves ↑ Next effect is increased and increases their Special Moves ↑ Next effect by 10 ranks when their Special Moves ↑ Next effect is increased, letting them max out these effects for a quick and powerful burst of physical or special damage!

Mai & Munchlax

Mai & Munchlax are a Normal-type Support Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field.
When the zone is a Normal Zone, their Passive Skills do the following: restore all allies’ HP when Mai & Munchlax are hit by an attack move, restore Mai & Munchlax’s HP by approximately 20% of their maximum HP when they’re hit by a sync move, and prevent all allies’ stats from being lowered.
Their We’ll Help You! Trainer Move normally raises all allies’ Defense and Sp. Def by three stat ranks, but if it’s used when the zone is a Normal Zone, these stats will be raised by six ranks instead, letting them further bolster their team’s durability!
Their Thick Fur Protect Buddy Move applies the Gradual Healing, Damage Guard Next, and Take Next “All” Move effects to themselves, allowing them to boost their own durability and support their allies.
Plus, when an attack move of theirs is successful, another one of their Passive Skills lowers the target’s Attack and Sp. Atk by one stat rank, making them a Sync Pair that can support their team’s durability in a variety of ways!

Perrin & Growlithe

Perrin & Growlithe are a Rock-type Field Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Sprint!
The first time they apply Rock Damage Field to the opponents’ field of play each battle, one of their Passive Skills will raise their Attack by six stat ranks and raise their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks, prepping them for powerful attacks in one go.
Also, their Pebbly Rock Slide Buddy Move can be activated when Rock Damage Field applies to the opponent’s field of play. It lowers the target’s Defense by two stat ranks and makes the target flinch, and its power is not lowered even if there are multiple targets. On top of that, it turns the field of play’s zone into an EX Rock Zone the first time they successfully attack with it each battle, letting them power up Rock-type attacks!
Furthmore, when an attack move of theirs is successful while Rock Damage Field applies to the opponent’s field of play, their Keep It Going! Passive Skill applies the Free Move Next effect to themselves and lowers one of the target’s following stats by two stat ranks at random: Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness. This lets them lower the opponent’s stats without worrying about the Move Gauge.
Additionally, their Sure Hit & Recoil Removal Passive Skill lets them attack with their Head Smash Move without taking recoil damage or missing, so take full advantage of their Passive Skills and let loose!

Also, Special Photo Missions—Perrin’s Photo Requests—begin on October 3, 2025!
By completing all the photo requests, you can earn a Growlithe (Hisuian Form) photo frame, so be sure to grab it and enjoy taking photos!

Log-in Bonus Revamp!

On September 30, 2025 at 11:00 p.m., regular Log-in Bonuses, such as the daily Log-in Bonus, will get revamped as the new monthly Log-in Bonus!

A major perk of this Log-in Bonus is that by logging in 10 days in one month, you can get a Fair-Guaranteed Scout Ticket, which lets you team up with a Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair!
You can also receive Gems just like before, so we hope you’ll log in and try to get the rewards.

Please note that as part of this revamp, along with the daily Log-in Bonus, some event-related Log-in Bonuses will also be integrated into the monthly Log-in Bonus.
Also, please note that the monthly Log-in Bonus is not a limited-time Log-in Bonus. It is a permanent Log-in Bonus and will be available every month from now on.

Other Events

In early October, along with the Ranked Damage Event, there will be limited-time Trainer Gyms Missions, so we hope you’ll work with your fellow gym members to complete them.
Also, the Move Candy Challenge is coming, where you can get one 5★ Strike Move Candy by completing all of the Missions. A Legendary Gauntlet that pits you up against Latias, Cobalion, and Registeel is scheduled as well.
A one-time-only Sync Pair Scout that lets you select one Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair will start to accompany the Legendary Gauntlet, so we hope you’ll check it out.

App Update for Late September

A New Guest Arrives in the Trainer Lodge

Starting September 30, 2025, you’ll be able to invite Piers to the Trainer Lodge as a Guest!
To invite Piers, you’ll need to team up with Piers & Obstagoon first.
You can team up with Piers & Obstagoon via various Sync Pair Scouts.

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for late October. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for November.

We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
