A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 84)

Happy new year, Trainers.

I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Thanks to Trainers like you, we’re once again entering a new year in Pokémon Masters EX.
The entire development team is dedicated to keep providing you with the best experience possible, so we hope you continue to enjoy your adventures on Pasio.
Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the start of the year and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

Story Event Fishing Up a Golden New Year Is Coming

Story Event Fishing Up a Golden New Year begins on December 31, 2025!

Hoopa lets a bunch of wild Pokémon loose on Pasio.
A fishing tournament is held to capture the Pokémon that have fled into the water!

In this event, Lana forms a Sync Pair with a Shiny Dondozo, while Ball Guy partners up with a Hisuian Form Electrode!

Please note that Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode, who appear in this event, are an EX Fair–Exclusive Sync Pair, not a Seasonal Sync Pair.

Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode

Sygna Suit Ball Guy & Electrode are a Grass-type Field Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Sprint!
Their Buddy Chloroblast Buddy Move can be activated when their Speed is raised. It’s a Move that unleashes an extremely powerful attack against all opponents and has two MP.
It also creates EX Grassy Terrain the first time it’s successful each battle.
In addition, immediately before they faint, their INCREDIBALL!!! Passive Skill not only makes them use Explosion but also reduces their Sync Move countdown by nine, which is an exceptionally unique effect.
Their Chloroblast is a Move that causes them to take damage equal to 50% of their maximum HP, so time it well and use their Sync Move right after it!

Lana (New Year’s 2026) & Dondozo

Lana (New Year’s 2026) & Dondozo are a Dragon-type Support Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field!
Thanks to a Passive Skill of theirs, they’ll Sync Terastallize into Dragon type the first time they enter a battle!
Their Banquet Order Up Buddy Move has one MP and can be activated when they’re not in a pinch. If the stats of any allies are raised, it doubles the amount of increase and also increases the Physical Moves ↑ Next and Special Moves ↑ Next effects of all allies by two ranks.
Another one of their Passive Skills raises all allies’ Defense and Sp. Def by two stat ranks the first time Lana (New Year’s 2026) & Dondozo enter a battle. Plus, their Lazurite Tera Blast, which they can use when they Sync Terastallize, grants the following effect five times: randomly raises one of seven stats for all allies by one stat rank. Use it well to give your team a big boost!
On top of that, they can create a Dragon Zone the first time they successfully attack with Lazurite Tera Blast and Banquet Order Up, as well as when using their Shining Big Catch! Trainer Move!

Future Updates

This past year, with the six-year anniversary events and the addition of new features like Pasio Towers, there was tons of excitement in Pokémon Masters EX. We’ll strive to keep making this a game for fans of Trainers as we deliver even more thrilling content!

The content that will allow you and your fellow Trainer Gym members to take on Gym Leaders from each region is set to debut next month. Through your battle results, you will also be able to compete against other Trainer Gyms, as we announced during last year’s six-year anniversary.
We’ve received a lot of feedback that it can be hard to keep up with difficult battles, so we’re currently putting the finishing touches on this content to ensure that as many Trainers as possible can enjoy it.

Furthermore, we have several minor updates planned for this year so that many people can enjoy the game for a long time.
For example, as we announced in a separate notice, in an update at the end of this month, we’ll be revamping some shop offers for even better value.
You can collect stamps by purchasing the new offers and earn rewards such as a Fair-Guaranteed Scout Ticket or Superawakening Candy based on your stamps!
Additionally, for the Academy Events starting this spring and beyond, we plan to gradually make improvements so that the core gameplay of raising your ideal Sync Pair will be a smoother experience, such as adding the ability to skip some battles.

We’re also currently working on various new projects for this year, so we hope you look forward to what we have in store!

Regarding Inappropriate Behavior

As we add more content to Trainer Gyms, we have a request.
In order to provide a safe and secure playing experience for everyone in Pokémon Masters EX, the End User License Agreement (EULA) prohibits the submission of inappropriate content, as well as the use of automated means while using our services.
Pokémon Masters EX includes content like Prestige Events where players can compete against one another. To maintain a safe and appropriate environment for all players, we conduct regular investigations. If any inappropriate behavior is discovered, we may impose usage restrictions on the offending account or terminate access to our services without notice, in accordance with the End User License Agreement (EULA).

This year, we will continue striving to ensure that everyone can play with peace of mind, so we appreciate your continued support.

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for late January.
In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for February.

We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.

We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
