A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 87)

Greetings, Trainers.

I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Pokémon Masters EX reaches its six-and-a-half-year mark since launch on February 27, 2026!

We’re incredibly grateful for your support.
We’re going to keep working hard to provide all you Trainers out there with even more exciting experiences unique to Pokémon Masters EX.

Plus, as we mentioned in our previous message, this time we’re holding our first ever double anniversary celebration to commemorate both 6.5 years of Pokémon Masters EX and the 30th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green.
From the run-up to the main celebration and after-party, we have tons of awesome events planned for the double anniversary celebration, so we hope you enjoy them!

In today’s message, we’ll discuss events for Pokémon Masters EX’s 6.5-Year Celebration and the Pokémon 30-Year Celebration, as well as new Sync Pairs that will arrive.

Also, to commemorate the Pokémon Presents taking place on February 27, 2026 at 6:00 a.m., we’re sending 3,000 Gems to all players, so be sure to grab them!

Pokémon Masters EX Double Anniversary Celebration Under Way!

In honor of the double anniversary celebration, three EX Master Sync Pairs debut!
On February 27, 2026 at 6:20 a.m., Red (1996) & Pikachu appeared in Special Event Rumors of a Strange Red and the Sync Pair Scout.
Red (1996) & Pikachu are a Sync Pair for the Pokémon 30-Year Celebration featuring Red with a special design reminiscent of his look in Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green.
To celebrate their arrival, “Red (1996) welcome gem special” will go on sale, as well as a Sync Pair Scout ×11 that you can use one time only for 1,000 Paid Gems.
Plus, photo missions will be available. You can obtain a special 30-year celebration photo frame and Title, as well as each kind of Move Candy Coin and Roll Cake Coin from the missions, so be sure to check them out.

Next, we’d like to introduce you to Florian (Anniversary 2026) & Ogerpon and Juliana (Anniversary 2026) & Terapagos.

Florian (Anniversary 2026) & Ogerpon

Florian (Anniversary 2026) & Ogerpon are a Grass-type Strike Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Support.
Thanks to a Passive Skill of theirs, they’ll Sync Terastallize into Grass type the first time they use their Sync Move!

Let’s take a look at the effects of their other main Passive Skills.
  • After their team uses a Sync Move, restores one MP of their Buddy Move
After their team uses a Sync Move, reduces the MP of their Grassy Terrain by one, reduces their Sync Move countdown by three, and creates Grassy Terrain
  • Increases their Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by one rank when an ally’s attack move is successful
Also increases their Sync Move ↑ Next effect by two ranks

◆About their Lush Ivy Cudgel Buddy Move (while Sync Terastallized)
MP: 1, Power: 150 (at move level 1), Target: All opponents
Activation Condition: When they use any move once
    Deactivation Condition: Cannot be deactivated
  • This attack never misses
  • Except in certain circumstances, attacks with this move become critical hits
  • The power of this move is not lowered even if there are multiple targets
  • The more their Grass Type Rebuff is raised, the greater the power of this move
  • Reduces their Sync Move countdown by three the first time this attack move is successful
  • Raises their Grass Type Rebuff by one rank

Juliana (Anniversary 2026) & Terapagos

Juliana (Anniversary 2026) & Terapagos are a Normal-type Strike Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Support.
This incredibly unique Sync Pair has a Passive Skill that enables their Terapagos to change to Terastal Form when they first enter a battle. Also, their Sync Move’s type can change to Stellar type.
While in Terastal Form, they can use their Sync Move to Sync Terastallize into Stellar type and become Stellar Form. As Stellar Form, their Moves and Buddy Move will get powered up.

    ◆About the New Stellar Type
  • Gets powered up when the zone is a Normal Zone
  • Damage is increased when the opponent’s Normal Type Rebuff is lowered
  • When the opponent’s Normal Type Rebuff and Stellar Type Rebuff are both lowered, damage will be dealt according to the lowered Type Rebuff of both
  • Passive Skills that have effects activate for Normal-type attacks will also activate for Stellar-type attacks
  • Damage is not reduced even if the opponent has Normal Type Resistance

Let’s take a look at the effects of their other main Passive Skills.
  • Reduces their Sync Move countdown by one the first time they enter a battle
Also raises their Sp. Atk by six stat ranks
  • Reduces their Sync Move countdown by two when they change to Terastal Form
Also, raises their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks
  • Removes all Weather conditions and terrain effects (including EX) when they change to Stellar Form
Also, reduces their Sync Move countdown by three
    Also, creates a Normal Zone
  • When their remaining HP drops to half or below, reduces the MP for their Potion by one and restores their HP by approximately 60% of their maximum HP
Also, increases their Special Moves ↑ Next effect by three ranks

◆About their Kaleidoscopic Tera Starstorm Buddy Move (when in Terastal Form)
MP: 2, Power: 200 (at move level 1), Target: An opponent
Activation Condition: When they use any move once
    Deactivation Condition: Cannot be deactivated
  • This attack never misses
  • Lowers the opponent’s Normal Type Rebuff by three ranks
  • Reduces their Sync Move countdown by three
  • Note: This move’s type is Normal type

◆About their Kaleidoscopic Tera Starstorm Buddy Move (when in Stellar Form)
MP: 2, Power: 400 (at move level 1), Target: All opponents
Activation Condition: When they use any move once
    Deactivation Condition: Cannot be deactivated
  • This move’s type becomes Stellar type
  • This attack never misses
  • Lowers the opponent’s Stellar Type Rebuff by three ranks
