A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 90)
Greetings, Trainers.
I’m Tetsuya Iguchi, producer of Pokémon Masters EX, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about the new Sync Pairs and the events beginning around the end of May.
Neo Champions: Rising Thunder and Flames begins on May 30, 2026!
This time, the judging criteria for the new Neo Champion is to show “limitless energy”!
How will Ethan and Lyra respond to Lance’s challenge?
Ethan (Champion) & Raikou and Lyra (Champion) & Entei appear in the event’s story and will also arrive as EX Master Fair–Exclusive Sync Pairs.
We hope you look forward to it!
Ethan (Champion) & Raikou are an Electric-type Support Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Field.
Their Max Revive Trainer Move can apply the new Endure and Restore effect to one ally. With this effect, if a Sync Pair takes damage that would leave them at zero HP, they will recover 100% of their HP instead.
Let’s take a look at the effects of their other main Passive Skills.
Lyra (Champion) & Entei are a Fire-type Strike Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Sprint.
They have two Buddy Moves that get more powerful the more their Sync Buff is raised.
The Master Fair–exclusive Sync Pair Sygna Suit Kris & Suicune appear in the event mentioned above, and starting June 3, 2026, you can team up with them guaranteed from the “One-Time-Only! Sygna Suit Kris Guaranteed Master Fair,” so give it a try if you want to add them to your team.
2026 marks 30 years since the release of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green. In honor of the occasion, Pokémon Masters EX is bringing you a special Rally that will take place throughout the year.
Note: This rally is refreshed at 06:00 UTC on the 1st of every month. Please note that this date and time are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), so the exact date and time for your region may vary.
On the 1st of each month from April to December, there will be Missions where you can team up with a Sync Pair, as well as obtain the items needed to raise them to 6★ EX and unlock their EX Role!
The Missions starting on May 31, 2026 let you team up with Lillie (Holiday 2024) & Primarina, so take advantage of this opportunity if you haven’t teamed up with or upgraded them yet!
There will also be a Log-in Bonus where you can get 1,000 Gems, so be sure to grab them all!
Please note that the Missions and Log-in Bonuses that begin each month will be available for one month only.
Plus, past stories related to the Sync Pairs you can team up with will return from April to December on the 1st of each month.
By completing these stories, you’ll be able to get a Scrapbook Photo of the artwork created for the Six-Year Anniversary special concept video, so be sure to check it out.
Returning this time is Story Event Family Ties.
Please note that unlike the Missions and Log-in Bonuses, these events will be available until the end of 2026.
Story Event Festive Sun and Moon, which first ran during the five-year anniversary, will return on May 31, 2026!
You can team up with Lillie (Anniversary 2024) & Solgaleo from this event, so don’t miss it!
On June 9, 2026, an event where you can get a Strike Roll Cake by completing all of the Missions will begin.
You can complete them by clearing Daily Battle 10 times during the event, so be sure to take it on.
A Legendary Gauntlet where you take on Cobalion, Latios, and Registeel will begin on June 11, 2026.
A one-time-only Sync Pair Scout that lets you select one Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair will start to accompany the Legendary Gauntlet, so we hope you’ll check it out.
Starting May 31, 2026, you’ll be able to invite Akari to the Trainer Lodge as a Guest!
To invite Akari, you’ll need to team up with Akari & Samurott.
You’ll be able to team up with Akari & Samurott via the Monthly Poké Fair that will begin on May 31, 2026, so be sure to invite her once you’ve teamed up with this Sync Pair.
Our next message is scheduled for late June. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for July.
We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
