Strategy: Training Sync Pairs

Level up your sync pairs!

Raise the level of your sync pairs to the recommended level for the battle.
To level up beyond Lv. 100, use the Unlock Level Cap menu.
To obtain the items required, head to the Cap-Unlock Area in the Training Area.

Use the sync grid effectively!

Power up your sync pairs even further via their sync grids. Simply use the Co-op Sync Orbs available in the Sync Orb Area of the Training Area.
There are various ways to upgrade your sync pairs, so choose whatever suits you.

Unleash Theme Skills!

Create teams with sync pairs that share the same themes and target your opponents’ weaknesses.
Use Theme Skills to make your sync pairs even stronger.

Master tactics!

Switching tactics changes the order your team members are targeted.
A key strategy is to have support sync pairs with higher HP, Defense, or Sp. Def targeted first, and strike sync pairs with higher Attack or Sp. Atk targeted third.

Defeat opponents in the center last!

If you defeat an Elite Four or Champion sync pair in the center position first, the Pokémon on the left and right will unleash powerful moves.
So try to defeat the sync pair in the center position last.
Tap an opponent’s Pokémon during battle to switch between targets.

Recommended Fighting Style

• Prepare yourself for your opponent’s Hail!
• Inflict the Burning condition on your opponent!
• Watch out for incoming special attacks!

Recommended Sync Pairs and Tactics

• #1: Lyra & Meganium*
• #2: Sygna Suit Morty & Ho-Oh
• #3: Leon & Charizard

Your opponent will use the Cold Front Passive Skill or Hail right before they use their Sync Move in order to start a hailstorm, so use Sygna Suit Morty & Ho-Oh’s Sunny Day to make the weather sunny instead!

Glacia & Froslass will use Draining Kiss to restore their HP and use the Sync Regen Passive Skill to gain the Gradual Healing effect, so use Leon & Charizard’s Inferno to leave them burned!

Your opponent mainly uses powerful special attacks, so use Lyra & Meganium’s Light Screen to gain the Special Damage Reduction effect and Sygna Suit Morty & Ho-Oh’s Potion and Passive Skill to restore HP!
